Hello Dear Readers,

I hope this Newsletter finds you happy and relaxing in your cozy spot. I am here to tell you that Beta Reads for the sequel to The Secrets That They Keep are coming soon! But that’s not the only thing that’s happening. The title, blurb, and cover reveals are also coming soon.

There’s so much to do before then!

Beta Reading Opportunities

If you would like to be a BETA READER for Book Two, please respond to, or comment on this Newsletter telling me that you want to be a beta reader (or fill out this google form).

As long as the list isn’t full, you’ll be approved as a beta reader, and get ready because beta reads are coming 5/10.

Once you’re approved as a beta reader use this link to learn how to add my author email address authort.m.lore@gmail.com to your approved senders list for your kindle account. This will allow me to send you the Beta Reader Copy of the novel when it comes out. Please also, email me your name and shipping address so I can have that for a surprise later on this year.

The Beta Reader Copy will have a mock cover similar to the cover reveal coming soon mock up that my Newsletter subscribers (that means you) get to see first! (So please do not share the ‘cover reveal coming soon’ image until after 5/9 when I reveal it to everyone else.)

Please note: The Beta copies will not be formatted like normal e-books. They will not be formatted at all, so you may notice some errors in formatting, be that, the chapter headings out of place, or letters that may seem spaced from their words improperly. Please know this is not going to be in the final draft.

If you want to take notes while you read if you find spelling errors or anything, you can highlight within the kindle app, make notes, and email those notes to me when you finish reading. Please remember to highlight at least 4 words together so that I can find the words in my document. If you need help with how to email the notes when you’re done, Goodreads has an article here with instructions here.

Do you want to be on my ARC or Street Team, too?

If you wish to be on the ARC or Street Team (or both) comment on this Newsletter “ARC” or “Street Team” or “ARC&STREET.” If you want to do all three, beta, arc, and street team, comment “Triple Threat!”

Same notes apply from above, except that the ARC e-book you receive will be formatted.

NOTE: (All ARCs will be e-books, however there will be a wheel spin where five ARC readers get a physical ARC copy later when the physical copies are available. Street Team members will be able to earn points to get physical copies as well.)

When will you get a Beta or ARC copy to read?

Beta reading copies will go out May 10th.

ARC e-book copies will not come out until July or August, and ARC physical copies will come sometime in the end of August or early September. This will all depend on how soon I can get my novel back from formatting.

Cover and Title Reveal?

Tentative dates:

The “Cover Reveal Coming Soon” will post 5/9

The “Title Reveal” will post 5/14

The “Blurb Reveal” will post 5/23

And the full Cover Reveal will happen 6/1

I say ‘will post/happen’ and I hope those stay the same, but life happens, so fingers crossed those dates will be kept!

Release Date?

Book Two’s release date is set for 10/03/2025, it will also be the one year anniversary for The Secrets That They Keep! This date means a lot me for many reason, iykyk, and I can’t wait to see what you all think of the second book.

There are at least six more Newsletters to come before release day (one a month, more if I can) so be ready, because it will be here before we know it!
